Pretty awesome display of the last eruption of Mt. Redoubt in 1990. I remember it well! We are all watching the AVO (Alaska Volcano Observatory) website for updates, as Mt. Redoubt continues to rumble and grumble and show signs of heat and activity.

February Cold

It's been too long since I posted! It's cold here in Anchorage, and we're watching one of our volcanoes closely. Mt. Redoubt is rumbling and grumbling but no one knows if we'll have a big eruption (or any eruption, for that matter). Humans are not omniscient, despite our technological advances!

We're hanging out with family in sunny North Carolina. It's chilly but really great to have blue skies and bright light! Tomorrow is thanksgiving, which we'll be celebrating with LOTS of family and LOTS of food.
My dear mentor, friend, and spiritual mom died yesterday. Becky Murphy was, to anyone who knew her, one of the most kind, loving, and generous souls on the planet. Her loss is being mourned by hundreds of people, possibly thousands. She made an incredible difference in so many lives, and devoted her life to serving the Baha'i faith. I miss you, Becky!!

Off and Running!

Today is my first attempt to publish my blog. Encouraged by my friends and family, and fueled by a desire to share, I decided to give it a try. So far, so good!
It's another partly sunny day in Anchorage today. We've had plenty of those this summer, without a doubt. I hope we have a snowy winter!
Maybe, now that I have jumped my first hurdle (publishing a blog), I will tackle the next, never-ending task - housework!!!! Or, maybe I will go outside and play.
